A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great restaurant for some japanese food. I have been with my gf to this retaurant, she get the pork shabu and I get the thai beef wagyu set and it was delicious with great meat and with some interesting way to eat my set. We also have good draft beer and cider. The service was great and food amazing good I highly recommand this restaurant"
"Pork & Beef Sukiyaki and charcoal grilled. Food was okay, service was a bit slow. I’d expect the pork for shabu to be more tender, but it’s okay. Kemuri wagyu don was pretty good, recommend it!. They have the set for 1 person. Both shabu and wagyu don came in set with rice and side dishes. Advance reservation is reserved only for 5PM table."
"This sukiyaki restaurant is located on Banthat Thong Road, often called Bangkok’s “second Chinatown.” The price varies depending on the quality of meat, and since it was my first visit, I went for the standard option. It was flavorful and satisfying enough. As it’s not an authentic Japanese restaurant, the sukiyaki sauce tasted a bit like a “Thai-style interpretation” and slightly cheap, but still within an acceptable range. The quality of the rice was average. Using better rice would make the sukiyaki taste even more special. Surprisingly, for a sukiyaki place, they have a solid craft beer selection, including my favorite Weizen. Today, Maisel’s Weisse was on promotion for only 86 baht — unbelievably cheap! Other beers were also reasonably priced compared to other places, which left me with a good impression. It felt like there were more staff than necessary, with some of them having nothing to do. This place is quite popular, so it’s best to book a table if you’re going after 7 PM."
"A must-try for meat lovers! The beef at Kemuri is premium quality, carefully selected and perfectly grilled. The restaurant's atmosphere is also excellent – it’s a great spot for a date or to relax and hang out with friends"
"+: The Kemuri grilled beef rice bowl (590 Baht) tasted great. The beef was tender and juicy. Mixing the egg, meat and rice together was great - tasted delicious. The restaurant is quite popular, around 5:30/6 pm there is already a queue in front of it. Also take in consideration that every dish takes time, especially if the restaurant is busy - we waited around 30 minutes because it was a busy day."
"I had a wonderful dining experience at Kemuri. The beef was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, making every bite a delight. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!"
"Great food in an overly foodie street. The Beef is especially good and the prices very reasonable."
"Great experience at this cozy japanese restaurant. When we arrived, no seats were available so we had to wait approximately 30 min. and we sat at the counter seats. The food was delicious and super fresh and tasty. The chefs and waitresses are super nice. Highly recommended"
